My search or file seems stuck

How long a search or a file normally takes, and what to do when it doesn't seem to move.

Written by Thomas Lucy

Most files finish in a few minutes: 1,000 rows take less than 2 minutes in the Email Finder. If a search or a file still seems to be running long after that, reload the page, then log out and log back in. If nothing changes after an hour, write to [email protected].

How long it normally takes

  • Email Finder: less than 2 minutes for 1,000 rows, about 5 to 7 minutes for 10,000 rows.

  • Phone Finder: 2 to 3 times faster than the Email Finder.

  • Email Verifier: about 1 minute for 10,000 emails.

  • A single search usually takes a few seconds. It can take a little longer when a mail server is slow to answer.

Files run in the background: you can leave the page, and you get a notification in the app when a file is done. It can be a little slower when many people use Enrow at the same time.

If the status doesn't change

  1. Reload the page.

  2. If the status still doesn't change, log out, then log back in. To log out, click your name at the bottom left of the app, then Logout.

  3. If your search or file is still running after an hour, write to [email protected]. Give the name of your file and its Bulk search ID.

To find the Bulk search ID of an Email Finder file, click the three dots (⋮) at the end of its line, then Info. Click the copy icon next to BULK SEARCH ID.

Your search disappeared after you reloaded the page

The search never started, so it cost nothing. Run it again.

Don't launch the same file again

If the display seems frozen, your file usually keeps running anyway. Wait for it to finish. If you launch the file a second time, you pay again for every email or number found.

Can I stop a file?

No. Once you click Start Enrichment, the file runs to the end. Before you launch a file, check your column mapping, the enrichment mode and the estimate of the credits needed.

The search doesn't start

Check your credit balance at the bottom left of the app. A search or a file only starts if you have enough credits:

  • For a file, you need enough credits for every row when you launch it: 1 credit per row for emails, 40 credits per row for phone numbers.

  • For a single phone search, you need at least 40 credits.

If you don't have enough credits, the app tells you, for example with "Not enough credits" or "Subscription paused". See What happens when you run out of credits.
