Subscription vs pay-as-you-go credits: which are used first, roll-over and expiry

Subscription credits come with your plan and are used first. Pay-as-you-go credits never expire. Learn how each kind rolls over and when it expires.

You have two kinds of credits. Subscription credits come with your plan, are used first, and roll over up to a limit while your subscription is active. Pay-as-you-go credits are bought with a one-time payment and never expire, even without a subscription.

See your two balances

At the bottom of the left menu, CREDITS shows your total balance, then two lines:

  • Subscription: the credits that come with your plan.

  • Pay-as-you-go: the credits you bought with a one-time payment, plus the credits you earned by referring friends.

Move your mouse over the i icon next to each line to see its rules.

Which credits are used first

Enrow always uses your subscription credits first. Your pay-as-you-go credits are used only when your subscription credits run out. This way, the credits that can expire are spent before the ones that can't.

Subscription credits: roll-over

Unused subscription credits roll over to the next period, up to a limit that depends on your plan:

  • Start: no roll-over. Unused credits are lost at each renewal.

  • Pro (monthly): your subscription balance can reach up to 3 times your monthly credits. For example, with 10,000 credits a month, your subscription balance can't go above 30,000 credits.

  • Scale (monthly): your subscription balance can reach up to 6 times your monthly credits.

  • Yearly plans (Pro and Scale): you get all the credits for the year at once. They stay valid for 12 months. Credits left at the end of the 12 months are lost at renewal.

  • Legacy plans: no limit. See Legacy plans.

At each renewal, Enrow adds your new credits to your subscription balance. Credits above your plan's limit are lost. Roll-over works only while your subscription is active.

Pay-as-you-go credits: no expiry

Pay-as-you-go credits never expire. They stay on your account with no time limit, whether or not you have a subscription. You can buy them on their own, or on top of a plan when you need more credits before your renewal date. See Choose a plan: Start, Pro, Scale, monthly, yearly or one-time payment.

What happens to your credits when your plan changes

  • You pause your subscription: your subscription credits are frozen until the pause ends. Your pay-as-you-go credits stay usable. See Pause your subscription.

  • You downgrade: the new plan starts at your next renewal date. Its roll-over limit then applies, and subscription credits above it are lost. Moving to a smaller plan to keep all your credits no longer works. See Upgrade or downgrade your plan.

  • Your subscription ends: you can use your subscription credits until the end of the period you paid for. After that, they are lost and your account moves to the Free plan. Your pay-as-you-go credits stay.

Tip: Want to stop for a few months? Pause your subscription instead of ending it, so you keep your subscription credits. Want credits with no time limit? Buy pay-as-you-go credits.
