Fair use policy

What counts as normal use of Enrow, what is not allowed, and what happens in case of abuse.

Written by Thomas Lucy

There is no limit on how much you can search with Enrow: you only need enough credits. What Enrow doesn't allow is abuse, such as sharing one login, creating several accounts or sending data that can't give results. In case of abuse, Enrow warns you by email before it restricts your account.

Use Enrow fairly

  • One account per person. Never share your login with someone else. To work with colleagues, invite them to your team: see Invite members and manage roles.

  • No extra accounts for free credits. Creating several accounts to get more free credits is not allowed. Neither is using free credits for regular production work without a paid plan.

  • Send real data. Search for real people you want to contact, with their name and company. Files with unusable data, for example without names or with random values, lower your find rate and waste your credits.

  • Automate with the API only. Scripts, scraping and any other automated extraction from the app are not allowed: use the documented API. Keep your API key secret, and stay within the limit of 10 requests per second per API key on each search endpoint. Above it, the API returns error 429. See Rate limits, batch sizes and response times.

  • Use the data for B2B prospecting. See What you can do with the data you get from Enrow.

What is never allowed

Enrow's Terms forbid using the service to:

  • contact consumers for consumer marketing (B2C);

  • feed advertising networks, retargeting tools or audience-matching tools;

  • resell the data or give it to others, or build a competing tool, a waterfall tool or a data enrichment service, without Enrow's written agreement;

  • send spam or other unlawful messages;

  • create accounts with bots or scripts;

  • reverse engineer the app, the API or the Chrome extension;

  • overload or disrupt the service, or upload harmful files.

What happens in case of abuse

Enrow monitors how the service is used. If it detects abnormal or excessive use, it follows these steps:

  1. Warning: Enrow emails you to explain the problem and asks you to fix it.

  2. Temporary restriction: if the problem continues, Enrow can slow down processing or return less complete data. Enrow tells you by email within 48 hours, and you have 7 days to fix the problem.

  3. End of the subscription: if the abuse continues after the warning and the restriction, Enrow can end your subscription.

For a serious breach, such as unauthorized resale, unlawful use or building a competing product, Enrow can end the contract right away, by written notice.
